Oceania Cruises was established in year two thousand and two by Joe Watters, cruise industry old timers Frank Del Rio ( former employee of Renaissance Cruises ) and Joe Waters ( former employee of Crystal Cruises ).

The cruises are based in Miami, and have a good reputation in the cruise industry. The cruise line has a good name in the cruise industry, and is famous for having a good standard with respect to value, itineraries, destinations and cuisines.

Oceania Cruises is a 5 star rated cruise package that has a fleet consisting of just two medium sized ships. The Insignia and the Regatta were the two ships that were bought of from the Renaissance fleer. These ships were revamped extensively right from stem to stern.

The onboard atmosphere is extremely on the easy going side, and the décor understated and elegant. The guests here enjoy a good range of facilities, and this is inclusive of open seating restaurants that have a good range of comforts and entertainment options. The flexibility of open seating at the restaurants is another definite advantage.

Jacques Pepin, celebrity chef, is responsible for supervising the five star menus at the Cruise ships. Pepin is one of the most well known American chefs and is the executive culinary director of the cruise company.

The itineraries offered by Oceania include the Panama Canal Caribbean, the Mediterranean, Mexico and Scandinavia. These are tailor made as per as per customers. You can even have overnight port stays so that the local flavor can be immersed in perfectly.
