The Italy based Costa Cruise Line is a brand part of the Carnival Corporation, which has thirteen cruising brands as part of their repertoire and is the largest company in the world in terms of popularity and size of fleet. Costa Cruise line is well known for having a multi ethnic, multi lingual cruise ambience that is the trademark. The cruise ship company is among the top most among European cruise lines, and is the proud possessor of the ultra modern and ever growing fleet that puts the European Cruise lines to shame.

Costa Atlantica is a delightful combination of both old world elegance and sophistication as well as a whole range of Costa Cruise Line traditions plus a liberal addition of American technology and cutting edge comforts. There are twelve passenger decks on board, and these are named after films by Federico Fellini like ( Ginger and Fred, Eight and a half, La Dolce Vita ). There are also close to four hundred works of art housed within the ship. Joe Farcus, the well known cruise ship designer was responsible for the designing part of the ship.
There are a whole range of facilities, starting from the remarkable world class spa – Ischia, as well as the lounges that are excellent for hanging out with a drink and enjoy a nice time. The casino is another popular venue with cruisers. There are also a good number of shopping opportunities, like the Via Della Spiga, which has a collection of the best Italian designer items that are sold duty free.
There is also an observatory that is completely enclosed in glass at the very top of the ship. The children’s play space is popular with kids, as is the water slides at one of the pools. There are three pools on board, and these are excellent. Costa Atlantica also has the Caffe Florian, which is a replication of the eighteenth century Venetian Café of the same name in St Mark’s Plaza in Venice, that was frequented by big names starting from Dickens, to Proust, to Lord Byron to Casanova.
