Carnival Elation debuted in Mar 1998, and is part of eight Fantasy – Class vessels which began with the debut of Fantasy in 1991 and ended with Paradise in 1998. The Cruise ship stands out on a variety of points, and is technologically advanced for a ship of its kind.
There are a huge number of points which set the ship apart, such as the fact that elation was the first ship to have azipods in the engineering. This is a propulsion system that does wonders for the maneuverability of a ship. The propulsion system has been fit into many mega liners. Elation was the first ship part of Carnival fleet that came with a conference center. The dedicated room was focused on fitting in small meetings and groups.
Carnival Elation sails four and five night itineraries in the Bahamas, with roundtrips to Port Canaveral in spring and winter. The cruise ship then transitions over to the west coast so the round of Mexican Riviera cruises, for 4, 5, 6 night Mexican Riviera cruises which is roundtrip from San Diego.
Carnival has a total of 1026 cabins. Out of these sixty per cent are overlooking the ocean. This makes up 618 accommodations and this is inclusive of both suites and standard cabins. There are four hundred and eight inside cabins. Most of the cabins have an area of about 185 sq ft, which houses a king bed, or two twin beds, a chair, small desk, phone, sizeable closers and a large bath room and shower. The beds have the Carnival Comfort Bed system, a much lauded system. The shower is well designed and powerful.
Dining
Carnival Elation has traditional style of dining, with specific timings, and assigned tables. There are two main restaurants at the ship. The Imagination and the Inspiration are the restaurants. The Atlantic Deck is where the Imagination is situated, and the Inspiration on the Atlantic aft. The dining timings are 5 : 45 and 6 : 15 p. m. for those who like to dine early, and 8 and 8:30 p.m. later. The restaurants have open seating for breakfast and lunch.
